Wellness coaching is a client-centered, collaborative process that empowers individuals to make sustainable, positive changes in their lives. It involves partnering with clients to set meaningful goals, explore their strengths and barriers, and develop personalized strategies to improve their overall well-being. By taking a holistic approach, wellness coaching supports clients in creating lasting habits, enhancing self-efficacy, and implementing self-care strategies. The coaching process is rooted in evidence-based practices and behavior change theories.
Wellness Coaching is not a substitute for medical treatment or mental health care, but it can complement and support these services.
Wellness Coaching can be done individually, through 1:1 Wellness Coaching, or with others through Group Wellness Coaching.
Nope! Entirely different process here.
Wellness coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Unlike therapy, which often involves healing past wounds, coaching focuses on the present and future—building habits and skills to enhance your current state of well-being. Wellness coaching helps bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be.
If common mental heal conditions (anxiety, depression) are getting in the way of your day-to-day, we suggest first connecting with a mental health professional prior to seeking out wellness coaching support.
For wellness coaching, while we follow the traditional framework (self-discovery, goal setting, motivation and accountability) we also recognize the value in education. Our Board-Certified Wellness Coach is also a skilled wellness educator. When appropriate, they're able to work with clients to increase their knowledge and skills in areas that will positively impact their well-being goals. For example: stress management strategies, mindfulness and grounding techniques, skills to improve sleep quality, routines to emotional wellness and energy management, and communication skills.
Additionally, we recognize that your needs are unique, so we offer support in a variety of different ways. Wellness coaching can be done both in-person and virtually. Interested in sitting back and learning the content, but not committing to a lengthy process? Webinars and workshops sound like an ideal fit! Want to take your skill building at your own pace and on your own time? We've got digital courses and modules for you! Want to learn together with your colleagues? We offer corporate wellness workshops.
